The Azkoyen Group, a Spanish technology multinational with headquarters in Navarra, which specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced technological solutions, has installed, via Urkotronik, its distributor in the Basque Country, the first newspaper vending machine in the city of Vitoria.
After the successful installation of PPE vending machines in the township of Eibar (Gipuzkoa), the Azkoyen Group continues to adapt to the new requirements to guarantee the hygiene and safety of citizens. The newspaper vending machine has been installed outside the Arlekin bookshop in order to avoid the queues and crowds that were forming outside the shop to buy newspapers.
These vending machines accept payment in cash, by credit or debit card or using the appropriate subscription cards. These cards will be given to users who subscribe to the newspaper and who have already paid in advance so that they can purchase it from the automatic machines.
Also, hydroalcoholic gel is made available to the customers next to the machine so that they can use it before and after touching the buttons. These machines that traditionally distributed soft drinks and snacks, continue to increase their product range and the owner of this bookstore is already considering selling books by this method.
