Azkoyen Group, a leading Spanish multinational technology company offering automated products and services designed to bring unique experiences to people in their daily lives, presents its innovations in the field of specialty coffee at World of Coffee Copenhagen (WoC), which will take place this year from June 27 to 29.
World of Coffee is the leading event in Europe and one of the most important globally in the coffee sector. Every year it brings together thousands of industry professionals and hosts the World Coffee Championships, including the World Latte Art and Coffee Roasting Championships. The fair is organized by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), representing the interests of 3,000 members worldwide.
For Juanje Alberdi, General Manager of Azkoyen, being present at this fair is fundamental for establishing commercial agreements: “The World of Coffee event in Europe is one of the most important globally and, therefore, is a key showcase to display the most outstanding innovations we have developed in Ascaso, our brand specialized in traditional coffee machines, and to boost the business of the rest of our brands within the Azkoyen Group in the European market,” he says.
Azkoyen Group will unveil the Baby T model from Ascaso featuring Flow Control technology, a compact professional coffee machine that allows for the creation of professional espressos and cappuccinos anywhere. This new technology allows for manual adjustment of the water flow to the coffee group, facilitating advanced control of extraction, customization, and experimentation, as well as greater consistency. Baby T was awarded in two categories at the latest edition of the prestigious European Product Design Awards.
The second notable launch is the new professional P74 grinder from Ascaso, which combines the most advanced technology with a contemporary design. The grinder ensures a perfect and consistent espresso coffee experience for coffee professionals.
Vendon’s telemetry solutions applied to coffee machines will also be showcased, allowing professionals complete control over the coffee-making process through cloud data analysis.
Finally, the compact coffee machine Vitro X5 Touch from the Vitro series, which incorporates a screen that simplifies machine programming and allows for the intuitive selection of a wide menu of coffees and other hot beverages, enhancing the user experience. Additionally, it will present the MIA technology in both Fresh Milk and Easymilk (reconstituted milk) versions, offering a wide range of beverages, from cappuccinos to latte macchiatos, with a silky and consistent foam, even when using plant-based milks. A few months ago, the Vitro series received the Vendies Award for Best Machine Innovation of the Year.
Throughout the three days, visitors to the stand will enjoy advice from two renowned baristas certified by the Specialty Coffee Association: Felix Hohlmann, champion of the German Barista Championship in 2024; and Amilka Lee, an internationally renowned barista certified by the SCA. Both will prepare custom-made coffees and teach how to get the best performance from the machines.
Specialty coffee is a term that encompasses a category of high-quality coffee characterized by its exceptional flavor, aroma, and sensory profile. It differs from commercial coffee by its careful selection of beans, sustainable farming practices, meticulous processing, and artisanal roasting. Additionally, special attention is paid to the value chain, ensuring that all actors involved, from farmers to baristas, are recognized and rewarded for their work and dedication in producing an exceptional beverage.
