Negotiations between the Azkoyen Group, via Primion Technology AG, and the owners of Opertis for acquisition of the latter were successfully concluded today. Through this agreement, on 7 October, Primion took over Opertis GmbH, a German manufacturer of mechatronic locking systems.
Opertis, based in the city of Bad Arolsen (Hesse, Germany), develops, manufactures and markets electronic locking systems. Its portfolio of solutions, sold under the eLock brand, covers mechatronic cylinders as well as the Comfort door lock system, with the corresponding administration software packages, eLock EM, eLockXpress and eLockXpert.
In the words of Eduardo Unzu, General Manager of the Azkoyen Group, “Our strategy is to continue and to improve the Opertis GmbH products and solutions, in order to offer all of our customers and partners an attractive range of products”. The integration of Primion and Opertis solutions will result in a much improved and expanded portfolio of services and range of products.
