Azkoyen Group, a Spanish multinational specialised in the technology sector, offering automated products and services designed to bring unique experiences to people in their day-to-day lives, launches PMT Nebular Pay, in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. It’s a credit card reader that allows users to make payments by simply placing their card or mobile phone close to the reader. This system has been developed by the Azkoyen Group’s Payment Technologies division under its Coges brand.
In the current context where health and safety are key factors, the company is creating solutions tailored to the current situation and the new consumer. With PMT Nebular Pay, users simply place their credit card or mobile phone close to the reader to make the payment. Amounts and messages are displayed on the vending machine display and there is no need to enter a PIN number or press any buttons.
In addition, there is no need to download any application to make payments using virtual cards such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay, and it is compatible with all credit and debit systems such as Visa, Mastercard, VPay, etc.
Small in size and easy to install, this reader is available in two different versions. It is compatible with the ECS Coges Engine system and with the Unica change-giver coin mechanism. Another of the features of the PMT Nebular Pay reader is that it does not require additional connectivity with the banking group since it is managed directly by the Coges payment system for all customers using the Nebular Service. It also includes a number of remote communication features (refunds, payment system programming, database upgrade, and more).
According to Mario Majo, Commercial Director of Coges, the Italian subsidiary of the Navarra multinational: “Our goal has been to create a credit card reader that does not involve a complicated or unusual experience for the user, but that is consistent with the habits that are already part of our everyday lives.”.
