Azkoyen Group, a leading Spanish multinational technology company that provides automated products and services designed to bring unique experiences to people in their daily lives, has been included in the Ibex Top Dividendo index, according to the semi-annual review announced by the Ibex Advisory Committee. This recognition strengthens the company’s solid shareholder remuneration policy and its commitment to long-term value creation.
The Ibex Top Dividendo is a stock market index that includes the 25 companies with the highest dividend yield among those listed on the IBEX 35, IBEX Medium Cap, and IBEX Small Cap indices. It is a highly relevant index as it considers the dividends that shareholders receive when a company distributes its profits. It is designed to attract investors seeking companies with attractive and sustainable dividend policies over time, such as Azkoyen Group, which in 2024 distributed €8.4 million among its shareholders, an 86.67% increase from the previous year.
In addition to Azkoyen Group, the index now includes Acciona, Colonial, FCC, Gestamp, Prim, and Prosegur, replacing ACS, Ercros, Endesa, Faes, Merlin Properties, and Sacyr, which have been excluded. The Ibex Advisory Committee made this decision at the end of January, and it became effective on Monday, February 3.
Regarding the company’s inclusion in the index, Juan José Suárez, President of Azkoyen Group, stated: “Azkoyen Group’s inclusion in the Ibex Top Dividendo is a recognition of our company’s financial, economic, and liquidity strength and an achievement that reflects our firm commitment to our shareholders. We have the best team and we maintain our innovative spirit to continue working responsibly and with a forward-looking vision to keep generating long-term value and strengthening our market position.”
To be part of the index, a company must meet certain criteria established by the IBEX Technical Advisory Committee. The main requirements include being listed on one of the IBEX indices, ranking among the 25 companies with the highest dividend yield over the past 12 months, and having a minimum trading volume to ensure sufficient market liquidity. Additionally, no company can exceed 10% of the index’s weight to prevent any single entity from having a disproportionate impact.
The 25 Companies in the Index
The Ibex Advisory Committee reviews and updates the index semi-annually, in January and June. Currently, the Ibex Top Dividendo includes the following companies: Atresmedia, Acerinox, Aedas Homes, Acciona, Azkoyen Group, BBVA, Bankinter, CaixaBank, Prosegur Cash, Inmobiliaria Colonial, Ence, Enagás, FCC, Gestamp, Logista, Mapfre, Naturgy, Naturhouse, Prim, Prosegur, Redeia Corporación, Repsol, Banco Sabadell, Telefónica, and Unicaja.
Azkoyen Group’s inclusion in the Ibex Top Dividendo reaffirms its position in the Spanish stock market and enhances its appeal to investors looking for companies with a sustainable long-term dividend policy and a strong track record of shareholder returns.
